Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Logistics Coordinator for our Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products Distribution Centers located in Portland, OR.
Our Team
Our Logistics Coordinators are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities in the shipping and receiving offices, including providing customer service to the truck drivers.
Georgia-Pacific Northwest Service Centers operates three very large distribution centers in the Portland, Oregon area. We ship and receive approximately 95,000 trucks each year, carrying your favorite brands including Quilted Northern Bath Tissue, Brawny® Towels, Dixie plates, cups and bowls, as well as other items found in public establishments, including enMotion® towels and dispensers.

Shifts include days and nights, as well as weekends and holidays. Right now,we're primarily looking to hire on our night shift 5pm to 5 : 30am.
One week is Wednesday to Saturday (four 12 hours shifts), the next is Thursday to Saturday (three 12 hour shifts). For this role we anticipate paying $25 hourly.
What You Will Do
- Provide customer service to the truck drivers, providing them with appropriate paperwork and instructing them on where to park their trailers
- Manage the workload of incoming and outgoing freight
- Dispatch work to the forklift drivers on the warehouse floor
- Accurately process shipping paperwork
- Greet and check in visitors
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience manually entering high volume numerical datasets into computer systems at a fast pace
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
What Will Put You Ahead
- One or more years of office / clerical experience
- Experience in warehousing, transportation, or inventory control
- Experience using 10 key by touch to enter data
