D Aceto Services LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of payroll procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculation of hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including summaries and tax documentation.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of employees, including benefits enrollment and termination processes.
- Assist with audits related to payroll and ensure data accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in payroll processing or related role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
