UX Designer

We’re looking for a Mid-to-Senior Level UX Designer skilled in design systems.

• Location : Remote (CST or EST)
• Duration : 3 months
• Hours : 35 hours per week
• Schedule : M F, standard business hours

Our client’s business model has shifted in the last year to focus on leading practices and the current extranet has not yet been designed to provide clear, consumable information for each of the 29 practice areas.

This person will be primarily responsible for designing, documenting, and implementing a user experience design system. They will also help launch a hub-and-spoke customer support model on the organization extranet.

About the role :

Evaluate extranet vendor, MangoApps, features and usability (AI chat bots and other features to support content creation;

Personalization and notifications; User research; Quantitative studies for intranet's usage metrics through Hotjar and MangoApps)

• Execute design enhancements to meet industry standards for intranet / extranet experiences in the nonprofit sector (Review custom CSS for what could be replaced with CSS regularly maintained by MangoApps to improve usability)
• Create web design templates for practice areas
• Create web design for the Get Support page

Requirements :

• 5 + years of UX design experience
• Skilled in building design systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work with process-oriented teams and communicate why a change can be beneficial

Nice to haves :

• Experience working in MangoApps
• Experience with Optimal Workshop
• Skilled in CSS and ability to review custom CSS to make changes

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.00 to $70.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
