Food manufacturer looking for a Quality manager to add to our team. This position is responsible for supervising, coaching and mentoring the QA staff and for providing direction through ongoing performance feedback.
Responsibilities & Duties :
- Responsible for all regulatory inspections, internal, and external Quality audits.
- Supervise all aspects of product quality and food safety throughout company to meet FSMA and GFSI requirements such as HACCP, and yearly SQF certifications.
- Responsible for reviewing and analyze data gathered such as necessary allergen, ATP testing etc.
- Validate sound record keeping of production and QC data including daily production logs, batch log, raw material and finished product QC testing, and necessary external lab testing.
- Stimulate and cultivate a "food safety culture throughout the facility, and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 3-5 plus years college degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
- Food safety certifications SQF Practitioner, HACCP, and PCQI required.
- Ability to focus and prioritize duties in a rapid changing and high demanding environment.
- Must be detailed oriented and computer savvy, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Bilingual, English & Spanish (Speak, Write, and Read) Required
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to work variable hours, depending on business needs, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be able to work in refrigerated rooms, in wet production environments, in noisy environments, and work in proximity to moving equipment.
