Electronic Technician Level 1 (M - F 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Role / Purpose :

Tuning and balancing Metal Detectors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Tune and balance detectors coming for repairs
• Calibrate to Safeline specifications
• Setup metal detectors for overnight testing when completed and verify performance
• Installation of electronic components related to producing metal detectors
• Replace or install electronic components that does not meet Safeline specs on all metal detectors
• Replace or install standard head cable and associated wiring as required on none remote units
• Replace or install remote head cables and associated wiring as required on remote units
• Maintain highest achievable 5S ratings throughout all areas of responsibility
• Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Basic experience using electronic test equipment
• Ability to work well with others in a production environment
• Attention to detail and good troubleshooting skills
• Good soldering techniques
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in a high paced environment
• Safety conscious
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines
• Work within established systems, standards and procedures

This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.

OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.

Minimum Education / Experience Required :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years experience in an electronic related field
