Minimum Qualifications
Education :
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana
Experience :
- Four (4) years, or more, of progressive experience in the practice of civil engineering and / or project management, including the ability to organize and supervise the work of other engineers, designers, and subconsultants.
- Proven experience in working with a variety of public and private entities in the areas of transportation infrastructure design projects.
- Knowledge and comprehension of local, state, and federal permitting requirements, including strong relationships with local agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs project management duties on assigned engineering projects or an established program, including subconsultant coordination, making presentations to planning commissions, zoning boards, municipal officials, and public agencies, attending meetings and visiting project sites.
- Prepares or directs the team in the preparation and modification of calculations, construction cost estimates, designs, reports, permit applications, construction plans, and specifications for projects.
- Leads a team of engineering interns and designers to design and permit land development and public infrastructure projects.
- Communicates effectively with other internal and external disciplines, including survey, geotechnical, environmental, traffic, planning, contracts, etc.
- Addresses and resolves issues related to projects in a responsible and timely manner and proactively seeks input from others in the organization.
- Attends meetings with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to establish their needs, discusses design and permitting matters, and facilitates the approval of permit applications and plans.
- Performs project close-out duties and conducts de-brief with team and other internal stakeholders.
- Checks and confirms the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by other team members.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to become proficient in CSRS engineering and project management practices, processes, and CSRS-specific digital platforms.
- Ability to travel regularly to proposed and active project sites.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history is required.
Technical Skills
- Extensive knowledge of transportation or general engineering project management.
- Experience in preparation of construction plans and supporting calculations.
- Construction and constructability expertise related to the production of design plans and resolution of field issues.
