Responsibilities :
- Forecast revenue and analyze our profit margin to better determine our effectiveness.
- Play a key role in strategic planning and organizational budget.
- Conduct internal auditing.
- Communicate with tax accountants to keep track of payments and returns.
- Offer suggestions to improve the company’s current financial status.
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide comprehensive tax planning services for small businesses, identifying opportunities for tax savings and advising on financial strategies to optimize tax outcomes.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial records, reports, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate their impact to clients and team members.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and support on various tax-related matters.
- Assist in the resolution of tax issues and disputes with tax authorities, representing clients as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver integrated and holistic financial solutions to clients.
Qualifications :
- Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required, preference to candidates with an MBA.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, preferably with a focus on small businesses.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Compensation :
$65,000 - $105,000 yearly
