Position Overview :

We are looking for a Field Service Technician towork on our next-generation Siemens Charger locomotives and Siemens Venturesingle-level coaches.

The state-of-the-art locomotives are diesel-electric withTier 4 4,400 hp diesel engines. Our vehicles are connecting cities all over theUnited States and we are working together with the customer on site to achievethe main goals for the warranty period.

This job will train you on how to fix,repair, and perform field modifications to achieve high customer happiness andimprove reliability.

Siemens is looking for someone who enjoys working hands-onand is interested in learning more about electrical / mechanical systems.

You will be required to begin work in Pueblo, Coloradofor 3-6 months and visit Sacramento during this time frame for training.

Thisposition will reside full-time in Croton-On-Hudson, NY.

What your day-to-day will look like :

• Commissioning and Warranty of locomotives and / orcoaches.
• Solving and analysis of failures on locomotivesor coaches.
• Perform with the use of mechanical drawings,schematics, and location circuit plans, electrical and mechanical repairs ofvarious components.
• Use laptops with subsystem software to fixvarious systems onboard the locomotives.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions in locomotiveor coach control circuits and components, assess the nature of problems, andidentify corrective action needed.
• Read, interpret, and understand written orelectronic information to identify the Root cause of failures and compilereports for your site lead and warranty manager.
• Understand and follow company and industrysafety rules, practices, and procedures.
• Implementation of Field Modifications (FMIs) toimprove the quality of our product.
• Document failures, part exchanges,implementation of FMIs, and your performed work in our Commissioning andWarranty database.
• Communicate in a team, to the site lead andcolleagues, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedurerecommendations, improvements, and other work-related information.
• Receive and send out failed parts for repair.RMA.
• Work with shop machines and hand tools.
• Working fully hands-on.

• High school diploma (or GED)
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in ateam
• Individuals must possess a valid Driver'slicense in good standing.

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget andthe candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
