General Summary

The Floor Supervisor will assist withmanaging overall store operations and assume primary responsibilityfor store operations in the absence of the General Manager and / orAssistant Managers.

The Floor Supervisor will also assist inmanaging and directing staff to achieve company goals andobjectives.

Essential Duties &Responsibilities :

CustomerService

• Project a positiverepresentation of Westlake AceHardware.
• Proactively assist customers insolving problems.
• Greet customers entering andthroughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when theyare leaving the store.
• Project a friendlyoutgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well asassociates.
• Ensure all calls and pages areanswered promptly courteously andeffectively.
• Handle customer complaints. Workto resolve problems with the customer and have Westlakes bestinterest taken into consideration.
• Possessexcellent product knowledge and knowledge of store layout andlocation of products.

StoreOperations

• Ensure a positiveprofessional and safe work environment for allassociates.
• Supervise the general operations ofthe entire store.
• Responsible for opening andclosing the store.
• Assist with theimplementation of Store Support Centerprograms.
• Help ensure successful LossPrevention Safety and Internal Audits.
• Workwith General Manager Assistant ManagerOperations and AssistantManagerMerchandising on all aspects of running thestore.
• Communicate any operational ormanagerial issues to the General Manager in a timelymanner.
• Assist with daily maintenanceorderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor stock room andoutdoor merchandise areas.
• Help ensure thatweekly price changes and label updates are completed timely andaccurately.
• Assist with all cashieringfunctions including training maintenance audits andreports.
• Perform all other duties asassigned.

Inventory &Merchandising

• Help ensure forkliftoperations and receiving is completed in a safe and efficientway.
• Assist to ensure receiving; checking inand stocking of merchandise for the store is being donecompletely.
• Assist with maintenance of backstock levels.
• Assist to ensure that cyclecounts and negative on hand reports are completed timely andaccurately.
• Assist with merchandise resetsthroughout the store.
• Assist to ensure allsignage is current in the store.
• Present aclean and orderly sales floor including end caps and promotionaland incremental merchandising.

Leadership

• Manage all aspects ofstore operations in the absence of the General Manager AssistantManagerOperations or AssistantManagerMerchandising.
• Lead by example; beapproachable by all associates andcustomers.
• Assist in training of allassociates.
• Participate in storemeetings.
• Communicate any merchandising costcontrol or sales idea to the General Manager for followup.
• Work with the General Manager AssistantManagerOperations and Assistant ManagerMerchandising to prepare foradvancement.

Minimum SkillsRequirements and Qualifications

• HighSchool or GED equivalent.
• Previous retailmanagement experience preferred. Hardware experiencepreferred.
• Standing walking lifting (up to25lbs) and climbing.

Pay Range$16.00$18.00
