PositionOverview :
We are looking for anexperienced Manual Machinist to join our team. This role involvesoperating manual mills and lathes interpreting engineering drawingsand ensuring precise machining of parts.
The ideal candidate willpossess strong technical skills a mechanical aptitude and acommitment to meeting production and qualitygoals.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Reviewand interpret work orders blueprints engineering plans andspecifications to plan machiningprocesses.
- Interpret geometric dimensions andtolerances (GD&T).
- Manage stock inventorymonitor availability and anticipate neededmaterials.
- Set up mills and lathes includingentering zero and reference points configuring tool offsets andcalculating machining requirements.
- Loadworkpieces into machines and verify settings by measuring positionsand conducting tests on firstrun parts andsamples.
- Maintain product quality by observingoperations taking measurements troubleshooting issues and makingadjustments as needed.
- Edit programs sharpenand replace worn tools and follow quality assuranceprocedures.
- Achieve production targets in termsof cycle time quantity andquality.

AdditionalDuties :
- Ensure a safework environment by maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safetyprotocols.
- Perform preventive maintenance onequipment and initiate repair work orders whennecessary.
- Communicate effectively with teammembers across shifts to ensure continuity ofwork.
- Maintain accurate records by completingrequired documentation and logs.
- Participate intraining sessions and stay informed on technicaldevelopments.
Qualifications :
- ManualMachining experience is required.
- Acertification or apprenticeship from a Vocational / Technical School(4year program) or at least 5 years of machiningexperience.
- Equivalent education and experiencewill be considered.
- Strong mechanicalaptitude.
LanguageSkills :
- Proficiency inreading and interpreting technical journals andblueprints.
- Ability to write routine reportsand correspondence effectively.
