North Reading Middle School is seeking an English Language Arts Teacher. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.
North Reading Public School Educators first contractual day is September 3, 2024. New educators are required to attend the two day new staff orientation on dates in late August.
Essential duties
- Unit / lesson planning
- Direct instruction of students
- Assessment of student learning
- Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested
- Work closely with the ELA department and interdisciplinary team to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
- Other duties as requested by the Building Principal
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in English Language Arts, grades 5-8
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
