The Modular Construction team at MiTek is revolutionizing the construction industry through the creation of a new way of designing and building that brings the industry into the digital era leveraging computational design, advanced BIM / VDC, and the physical internet.
Position Summary
The Production Design Manager plays a pivotal role in operationalizing the distributed construction production process as part of the innovation team.
Responsibilities encompass crafting detailed production sequences, labor resource management, and cycle time tracking. They facilitate the development of construction means and methods while maintaining critical production design data.
Furthermore, the specialist defines and oversees consumables, tools, and equipment for efficient task execution, documenting their placement within Rapid Plant production stations and managing associated data.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Essential Functions
Production Design
- Develop production sequence including activity, task, and step definition and their management
- Define and manage labor resources, skills and labor schedules
- Develop a system to track and maintain cycle times per task
- Facilitate development of construction means and methods, reflecting this into production sequence
- Develop and maintain all data associated with production design
Production tools and equipment
- Define and manage consumables required to perform production sequence
- Define tools and equipment necessary to perform production tasks effectively and efficiently
- Define and document Rapid Plant production station design, including how tools and kits are placed
- Develop and maintain all data associated with consumables, tools and equipment
- Develop a system to manage all Rapid Plant assets (tools and equipment inventory)
Material handling
- Develop and manage process and tasks to perform material handling at rapid plant
- Define equipment required to perform material handling at the rapid plant
- Develop a system to track and maintain material handling cycle times
- Maintain all data associated with material handling
Kit definition
- Define kits according to production schedule for optimal use and material handling
- Collaborate with kit center team to define kit packaging, composition and labeling
Position Qualifications
Education and Experience
