The invites applications for a full time, non-tenured, renewable faculty position, at the rank of Industry Assistant or Industry Associate Professor, with a start date of September 1, 2024.

CUSP seeks candidates that can contribute to its urban science and policy line of expertise in the following areas : data, policy and decision making;
civic analytics, innovation, technology and cities; digital geography; computational social science; data visualization, and data informed urban policy.
We are interested in candidates with a focus on the intersection between cities, science, technology, innovation and public good.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., degrees in engineering, computer science and the social sciences with a focus on data informed urban policy studies, public health, urban environmentalism and sustainability or digital geography), and a strong record of industry or public-sector experience, technical innovation, and / or scholarship in CUSP’s areas of focus.
Ideal candidates should have a strong record of excellence in teaching and mentorship at all levels, from introductory to advanced studies.
We especially seek faculty colleagues who have multi- or transdisciplinary academic backgrounds and whose work is concerned with themes of urban science and policy approaches to cities and complexity, with attention to social / civic engagement, governance, sustainability, livability, resilience and / or justice.
