Robert Half has partnered with a property management firm in S. Denver in search of a Property Accountant! The Property Accountant position is paying $65,000-$85,000 and offering a generous PTO policy and benefits!
The Property Accountant will be responsible for the following :
- Full cycle accounting for 10-15 properties.
- Review of property invoices for proper coding and support.
- Research outstanding invoices, communicate with vendors, and resolve payment issues.
- Generate and review AP report for check runs.
- Reconcile monthly intercompany billing.
- Assist with year end 1099 forms.
- Review general ledger for missed expenses and identify any material budget variances.
- Prepare and record journal entries.
- Reconcile accounting deposit spreadsheet with final property deposit log.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Provide support and direction for utility billing management.
- Oversee and assist with vacant utility accounts for bill back to residents.
- Prepare property replacement reserve request.
Requirements for the Property Accountant include :
- 2+ years of property accounting experience
- Yardi experience (highly preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (highly preferred)
