We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Data Analyst based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The successful candidate will be involved in the implementation and utilization of Power BI across business functions. This role includes working with sales, operations, and finance teams to understand their reporting needs and creating those reports in Power BI.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with various teams to comprehend their reporting needs and translate them into Power BI reports.
- Extract data from various systems, ensuring the handling of large volumes of data.
- Utilize Excel for querying and set up these data tables in Power BI.
- Develop visually appealing reports in Power BI for various teams.
- Pull monthly customer sales information by customer for detailed analysis.
- Explore and implement data mining techniques to enhance data analysis processes.
- Maintain open and effective cross-functional communication with teams.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and data analysis.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge of data analysis tools and Power BI.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Strong understanding and application of financial reporting
- Ability to perform data mining and provide actionable insights
- Experience in data analytics, preferably in a financial context
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or related field
- Knowledge of financial markets and financial software systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Access.
