SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Poker Room Manager or Table Games Management when acting as a Poker Supervisor and under the direct supervision of the Poker Supervisor when acting as a Poker Dealer, the Poker Dual Rate Supervisor / Dealer implements procedures in the Poker Room to ensure adherence to internal controls, standard operating procedures and Indiana Gaming Commission regulations.
Safeguards Company assets located in the assigned work area with emphasis on guest service, monitoring dealer performance and game protection.

When acting as a Poker Supervisor include the following :
- Directly supervises poker dealers as well as the operation and conduct of any poker games to which they are assigned.
- Responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of poker podium banks.
- Monitors all procedures governing the opening and closing of games and shift changes.
- Supervises the performance of poker dealers to ensure efficient gaming operations during a shift.
- Manages waitlist software and diligently works to keep open seats to a minimal.
- Ensures that games are supplied with adequate and operable equipment.
- Ensures that all Indiana Gaming Commission regulations, internal controls, Title 31 compliance and standard operating procedures are adhered to.
- Promotes positive customer and employee relations, and is held accountable to ensure that the integrity of the game is protected at all times.
- Must be knowledgeable of poker rankings and general poker room procedures.
- Must be able to provide hosting’ duties to Poker Room guests. These duties will include :
o Greet players at the podium with a smile and a welcoming attitude.
o Convey what poker games are available and at what limit.
o Accurately add player’s names to the game lists and provide information about the requirements of the game.
o Call names of waiting players when seats become available and ensure that players are seated properly in requested games.
o Effectively manage table changes / must-move lists.
- The Poker Supervisor will announce new games and call names of players waiting for such, properly answer the telephone, provide information to callers, record messages accurately and pass them on to the appropriate party, transfer calls to appropriate personnel as determined by customer’s needs.
- Properly execute podium bank and table bank fills’ when necessary.
- Resolve customer game disputes in accordance with Indiana Gaming Commission regulations, Title 31 compliance, and Terre Haute Casino Resort’s standard operating procedures.
- Monitors compliance of all approved policies and procedures and reports deviations to Poker Manager, if observed.
- Other duties as assigned.
For scheduled shifts in the dual rated position of Poker Dealer, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will be consistent with those in the job description for the respective position.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1-2 years as a multiple game dealer or related supervisory experience in Poker.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals and internal controls. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively after groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical theory.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess intermediate PC skills. Microsoft Office experience required.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
When acting as a Poker Supervisor oversees daily supervision and operation of all poker games in Poker Room. Ensures Dealers carry out duties in accordance with all applicable regulations.
None when performing work as a Poker Dealer.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Candidate may be exposed to smoke when on the casino floor.
