What We're Looking For :

The Vice President of Global Applications & Architecture is a key leadership position responsible for shaping the vision and strategy of the company's global application portfolio and architectural frameworks.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role leads the product strategy and execution for products and architecture that run across Meltwater's platform suite inclusive of :

  • Meltwater's complete data and content architecture, ingestion systems and enrichment techniques.
  • Universal platform systems and components such as APIs, account management and governance, and platform navigation
  • Cross-platform innovation areas such as Generative AI, ML and NLP advancement

This role requires a strategic, user-centric product leader with a proven track record of delivering delightful consumer experiences and results at scale.

By aligning technology initiatives with product strategies, the VP will drive digital transformation and ensure that our solutions remain at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.

What You'll Do :

  • Strategic Leadership :
  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for global applications and architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Application Management :
  • Oversee the lifecycle of the company's global application portfolio, ensuring each product selection, development, deployment, and retirement aligns with business goals and customer needs.
  • Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, secure, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems to deliver a seamless user experience.
  • Architecture Development :
  • Define and maintain the product architecture framework to support both current and future business requirements.
  • Lead the creation of architectural standards, guidelines, and principles to ensure consistency and interoperability of technology solutions across products.
  • Innovation and Transformation :
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives by leveraging emerging technologies and innovative solutions to enhance business processes and elevate customer experiences.

Current emphasis is on Generative AI applications and transformation.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product organization to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Governance and Compliance :
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and internal policies, safeguarding the integrity and security of our product offerings.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of application system integrity and security.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product professionals, including product managers, product owners and analysts, to drive the product vision and strategy.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that promotes professional development and growth, ensuring the team is aligned with the company's product goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement :
  • Act as a key liaison between product teams and other business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of application and architecture needs.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and consultants to ensure effective delivery of services and solutions that align with product objectives.
  • Budget Management :
  • Manage the budget for the Global Applications and Architecture team, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources to support product initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate to maximize product investment returns.

What You'll Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing global product portfolios and architecture.
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and emerging technologies including Generative AI systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire large, diverse teams, and manage complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with a track record of driving product innovation and transformation initiatives.
  • Proficiency in product management methodologies and tools.

  • Base Salary of $225,000 USD - $250,000 USD per year + discretionary 25% annual bonus subject to the terms of the applicable bonus plan
  • Total compensation range for this position : $281,250 USD - $312,500 USD per year.

Where You'll Work : This role is a remote position with a preference for candidates in the United States, Canada and EMEA.

Additional preference for candidates near existing Meltwater offices (Meltwater Global Office Addresses). Regular business travel with occasional travel to company offices required in the position.
