JOBSUMMARY
TheDistrict Sales Manager (DSM) role requires exceptional managementof sale performance among Sales Consultants (SCs). This position isresponsible for driving a performance culture, coaching anddeveloping the talent of their sales consultants to achieveprofitable planned case and GPgrowth
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managesthe performance and development of Sales Consultants (MAs) withinthedistrict.
Engagesin one-on-one coaching and direction by conducting an average of3-5 SC work-withs aweek.
Effectivelylead and facilitate Friday district meetings that educate, inspireand ultimately produce key behavior changes to drivesales.
Leadand direct Customer Engagement efforts by enabling the district SCto provide Sysco customers with expanded service channel options (Technology enablers, value added services, and team selling)
Mustpossess a continuous improvement mentality around technology, salesskills, soft skills and productknowledge
Leveragesthe Sales Support resources andtools to maximize the consultative time of the SC
Fullyleverages our CRM in the management of SC’s sales planning,prospecting, and daily customer engagement and expects productiveutilization of Sysco 360 among allSC’s.
Successfullydelivers Sysco brand results and directly manages conversionopportunities within thedistrict.
Supportsand promotes all national campaigns and promotions
Accountablefor providing coaching, training, and timely feedback to drive sales consultant development ofconsultative selling skills of the sales associates (The Sysco WaytoSell).
Fullyutilizes the CMP and QPP Processes to coach the performance of allsales colleagues in thedistrict.
Responsiblefor execution of territory planning and management
Prioritizesindependent relationships with top customers and high valueprospects.
Championscompany initiatives and implements center led strategy within thedistrict.
Additionalsales management responsibilities including, but are not limitedto, other operational duties and customer relationship management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
HighSchool educationrequired.
Bachelor'sdegree in a related field (e.g. business administration) orequivalent relevant industryexperience.
Experience
2or more years' experience successfully growing profitable sales inthe foodserviceindustry.
5+years' foodservice sales experience in the foodservice industrypreferred.

Communicateand collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with thecredit department and client; collect all balances due based onapproved creditterms.
Managedeliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportationdepartment.
Troubleshootany problems that occur during the order process (for example, outof stock items, special order items, low inventory,etc.).
Participatein company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customerevents.
Attendand participate in general sales and districtmeetings.
Reviewand analyze daily and weekly reports such as special orderrequests, customer bid files, and sales / gross profit margindata.
Performadministrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports,maintaining sales records, processing credits, and pick-uprequests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filingreports.
Participatein ongoing trainingsessions.
Assistwith the training of new employees asrequested.
