Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commissary Production Manager to oversee our culinary & baking operations. The Commissary Production Manager is one of the leadership positions at the Commissary and must have a passion to produce high quality products consistently.

This person demonstrates strong leadership qualities with attention to detail in elevating and sustaining culinary and baked goods.

This role is accountable for the quality and consistency of all products produced from scratch daily. This position will report to the Commissary General Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Manage kitchen / baking team staff and coordinate food preparation activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitary rules, regulations and standards according to health department and risk management.
• Oversee inventory control and ordering of supplies.
• Train and develop kitchen / baking team members.
• Maintain quality standards for food preparation, presentation, and work side by side with staff.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and schedule maintenance as needed.

Skills :

• Proven experience as a Food Service Manager backed by a track record of successful outcomes.
• Strong culinary and / or baking skills and understanding of various cooking and / or baking methods.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Proficient in inventory management and control.
• Ability to develop and implement process improvement policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications :

• Minimum 3 years food service management experience.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team management.
• Proficiency in kitchen and / or bakery management and food preparation.
• Experience in inventory management and control.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Knowledge of Aloha and Micros POS systems.

• This position does not follow a set schedule. Hours consist of working 6 : 00am-4 : 00pm, 12 : 00pm-10 : 00pm, and / or 9 : 00pm-7 : 00am;

it is necessary to be available outside of the expected hours. Hours are subject to change at the Commissary Manager's and / or Urth Caffe's discretion.

Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays AND Sundays) and holidays.
