Remote Pharmacy Technician

Job Title : Remote Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to remotely join our team! This individual will primarily be responsible for reviewing prior authorizations and sending them to pharmacy services for determination.

Technicians will also respond to client inquiries, refer requests for specialty drugs, contact providers for additional information, and notify stakeholders of decision outcomes.

Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers. Notify physicians, providers, and members of coverage determination request decisions.

ResponsibilitiesApprove or deny prior authorizations and send to pharmacists for final review.Handle all the health plans and medications.

Could be handling some inbound calls - little phone work!Tracking coverage determination requestsObtaining verbal authorizations, approving requests based on criteriaEntering decisions into the PBM system, and notifying providers and members.

Notify physicians, providers, and members of coverage determination request decisions.RequirementsRegistered pharmacy technician license.

Nationally certified technicianMust have HS Diploma / GEDStrong computer skillsWork EnvironmentThis is a fully remote position.

The shift could fall between Monday-Friday 7am-7pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends and occasional holidays.Overtime is not required but occasionally offered.
