Job Description
- Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes for North America, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
- Review and approve journal entries, ensuring they are properly recorded and documented in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Review account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial information and assist the team in resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Review monthly fluctuation analyses and assist with providing explanations for significant or unusual changes in balances.
- Lead the NORAM Cash Forecasting process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives.
- Perform technical accounting research as needed and be able to implement where required.
- Participate in the preparation and review of monthly reports / analyses to Management.
- Perform work to maintain Internal Audit / SOX compliance.
- Assist with audits and interact with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
This is a hybrid role out of our Detroit, MI office.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
Preferred Requirements :
- Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA License and Big 4 accounting firm experience.
- Experience overseeing the month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in US GAAP.
- Experience with accounting software; experience with NetSuite and / or OneStream a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks concurrently and work well with all levels within the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.

DOE, salary $120K - $145K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience / education and location.
