Medical Laboratory Technologist - FT Nights - Bowling Green, OH

KNK Recruiting, LLC is looking for a direct hire Medical Laboratory Technologist for our targeted client located in the Bowling Green, Ohio area.

Targeted Pay : $30-$40 an hour – Pay varies depending upon skills and experience level.

Hours : 36 hours a week (1st shift with weekend and holiday rotation)

Status : Full Time – Nights

Summary : The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs all aspects of laboratory test ordering, specimen processing, and result reporting for inhouse manual and automated procedures as well as referred testing to produce accurate, quality, timely laboratory data.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Verifies patient identity according to hospital and department policy before performing any procedure.
• Performs required maintenance on instruments and documentation of procedures performed and as assigned.
• Demonstrates appropriate skills and knowledge required to work with neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Qualifications :

• An associate degree in a biological, chemical, or physical science required. Associate's degree in medical technology / Clinical Laboratory Sciences preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in medical technology / Clinical Laboratory Science preferred.
• Medical Technologist (ASCP) certified or equivalent within 1 year of employment preferred.
