Job Overview : A law firm based in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Intellectual Property (I.P.) Associate Attorney to join their Technology Transactions Group.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of law firm experience, a deep understanding of intellectual property and contract law, and a track record in handling complex commercial transactions for both early-stage and later-stage / public technology companies.
The Associate will provide expert advice on the intellectual and commercial aspects of M&A and other corporate transactions, leveraging superior academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements, including licensing agreements, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide legal guidance on intellectual property-related M&A and other corporate transactions.
- Advise clients on the commercial aspects of technology transactions and intellectual property matters.
- Conduct due diligence and assess IP portfolios for potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to structure and implement complex commercial transactions.
- Stay abreast of legal developments in intellectual property and technology law.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and other legal proceedings.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality legal counsel.
Requirements :
- 3+ years of experience in a law firm, focusing on intellectual property and technology transactions.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex commercial transactions for technology companies.
- Proven ability to advise on intellectual property issues within the context of M&A and other corporate transactions.
- Superior academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admission to the State Bar of California.
Skills :
