Job Title : Middle School MathTeacher

Location : Berkeley IL

PositionOverview : The school is seeking a dynamic andknowledgeable Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. Theideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics and apassion for teaching middle school students.

The Middle School MathTeacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effectivemath instruction fostering a positive classroom environment andsupporting students in achieving academic success.

KeyResponsibilities :

Instructional Planning andDelivery :

• Develop andimplement lesson plans that align with state standards and districtcurriculum guidelines.
• Utilize a variety ofinstructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs ofstudents including differentiated instruction and handsonactivities.
• Incorporate technology and otherresources to enhance the learning experience and engage students inthe subject matter.

ClassroomManagement :

• Establishand maintain a positive and productive classroom environmentconducive to learning.
• Implement effectiveclassroom management techniques to promote student engagement andminimize disruptions.
• Foster a respectful andinclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued andsupported.

Assessment and ProgressMonitoring :

• Assessstudent understanding and mastery of mathematical concepts throughformative and summative assessments.
• Use datafrom assessments to inform instructional decisions and providetargeted support to students who are struggling.
• Communicate student progress to parents guardians andschool administration regularly.

Collaboration :

• Work collaboratively with other teacherssupport staff and administrators to ensure the success of allstudents.
• Participate in professional learningcommunities (PLCs) and contribute to the development of schoolwideinstructional strategies and goals.
• Engage inongoing professional development to stay current with bestpractices in math education and middle schoolinstruction.

Student Support andEngagement :

• Provideextra help and support to students outside of regular class time asneeded including tutoring and afterschool programs.
• Encourage student participation in mathrelatedextracurricular activities such as math clubs orcompetitions.
• Build positive relationshipswith students to support their academic and personalgrowth.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in MathematicsEducation or a related field.
• Valid IllinoisProfessional Educator License (PEL) with a Middle School Mathendorsement.
• Experience teaching math at themiddle school level is preferred.
• Strongknowledge of mathematical concepts and effective instructionalstrategies.
• Excellent communicationcollaboration and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive learning environmentand supporting the diverse needs of middle schoolstudents.

WorkSchedule :

Fulltimeposition following the academic calendar.
