s Aerospace Group, Interconnect Technology Division (ITD) is currently seeking a Manufacturing Assembler to join our team.

This position is based at our Camarillo, CA location Primary Function :

Sets up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions.

Essential Functions :

• Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping and contact hooding.
• Weigh, mix and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds and potting materials.
• Able to interface with customers if necessary.
• Follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
• Perform connector assemblies.
• Perform work with limited to no supervision.
• Train and assist Assembler 1s.
• Manually load and / or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.
• Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions.
• Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order instructions.
• Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.
• Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.
• Paint components, as well as apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
• Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work environment. Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area.
• Stage materials for shipment as required.
• Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.

Basic Qualifications :

• 1-2 years experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations
• Ability to read, follow and understand verbal instruction, product / process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English
• Ability to use calculators
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to use of hand tools
• Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown ? Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Camarillo will be considered for this position.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
