Senior Operations Research Analyst, Aerospace and Defense

- Analyze, organizes plan, and administer various phases of day-to-day activities for one or more highly complex programs.
- Analyze actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making or resource allocation.
- Develop, plan, coordinate, and integrate related requirements to support operational needs.
- Have strong knowledge and understanding in area of expertise and use advanced knowledge.
- Develop and implement methodologies.
- Conduct studies, technical assessments, and system analysis to determine performance and effectiveness in search of technology feasibility and operational viability boundaries.
- Prepare and present complex technical research.
- Develop procedures and processes.
- Work as assigned on broad area of responsibility.
- Interface with customer.
- Conduct activities with a high degree of independence and self-supervision.

- Monitor and analyze strategic and operational aspects related to political, military, and economic developments.
- Analyze complex contractual documents, technical data, customer operation characteristics, and related reports.
- Provide technical support in field to aid customers and resolve complex technical problems.
- Conduct technical seminars and training for customer or company personnel.
- Provide team leadership to other analysts and technicians.
Essential Duties :
- Plan, conduct, and accomplish broad intelligence exploitation assignments.
- Apply exploitation skills to produce intelligence products.
- May be called upon to deliver presentations and assist in task planning.
- Use professional concepts to contribute to the development of company concepts and principles.
- Work on highly complex problems and exercises independent judgment.
- Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise the activities of lower-level personnel.
- Frequently concentrate on collecting and analyzing data as well as defining data requirements for concise and comprehensive reporting of data results to various customers.
- Review the analysis results of other unit test analysts to ensure consistency across all test efforts. Involved in identifying indications of system performance, corrective measures that need to be taken, and reporting processes.
- Create, conduct, design and evaluate experimental operational models where insufficient data exists to formulate results with the given information to resolve concept and technology uncertainty.
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and systems through operational research methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Minimum years of experience, technical skills and tools, knowledge, etc.) :
- 10 years of related experience
- Experience in operations research, data analysis, and mathematical modeling
Preferred Qualifications (Desired years of experience, technical skills and tools, knowledge, etc.) :
- Experience with developing advanced military concepts and technology applications
- MSBE experience
Education :
Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
