You’ll have autonomy in your role but will also work together as part of a collective credit team, to provide and receive support.
As Credit Analyst you will assess the creditworthiness of potential customers, including payment terms and credit limits, and identify special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment.
Completing loan applications, including credit analyses and credit memorandums, and submitting to loan committees for approval is a primary function of your role.

You’ll gain a better understanding of the overall operation of a community bank as well as play a critical part coordinating the commercial loan credit approval process, including processing credit applications, and initiating inquiries into customer’s bank and trade references.
You will generate financial ratios to evaluate customers' financial status, compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.

Your role is critical as you monitor the credit risk associated with customer accounts, establish and maintain customer credit files / database, and review customers’ credit histories.
As a credit expert, you will also assist with the establishment and implementation of credit policy, prepare reporets that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money, evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on applicable data .
Ideal Candidate Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university preferred, or one to two years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One or more years of credit analyst experience at a bank preferred, but willing to train. Success in this role has a strong correlation with a team member's commitment to excellence and high standards, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and strong mathematical skills.
A bility to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, a cute attention to detail, and possess g ood judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Must be versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Ability to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems.
Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information. Are You Computer Savvy?
We don’t want tech to slow you down. You’ll be using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Suntell document imaging system, and our core banking system (Fiserv) daily.
It helps if you are tech savvy and a quick learner. We’ll train in areas where there may be gaps in bank experience or technology;
