Department Clinical Specialty Programs Job Summary The Assistant Clinical Manager has 24 / 7 operational responsibility when the Clinical Manager is not available.
Responsibility includes accountability and direct oversight over the daily activities of the designated specialty area or department.
In addition, accountability for the quality of patient care, the performance of nursing staff, assisting with budget management, and the orientation and development of new staff.
In this role, the leader also assists with setting the tone and modeling positive leadership behavior, while ensuring successful completion of individual and teamwork tasks, projects, and responsibilities in support of departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications - Require a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN). - Require a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with patients in the designated specialty area.
Preferred Qualifications - Prefer program management, teaching, consulting, and outcome management experience. - Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.
- Prefer demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. - Prefer interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise independent judgment, and provide decision-making expertise. - Prefer demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills at all levels.
