Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist RN

This Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist RN will be responsible for :

  • Participating in and provides quality improvement support and consultation for hospital and unit / department-based committees, councils, programs and special projects.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and advises on performance improvement tools, methods and criteria for monitoring care delivery processes and outcomes.
  • Developing measurement plans and assists in data collection and analysis.
  • Provides support and education for the development of process and outcome performance measures centered on patient safety and quality.
  • Managing select hospital-wide performance improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Facilitating the development of policy, procedures, standards and guidelines that support organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Creating communications and education related to policy and practice changes.
  • Developing systems to monitor compliance for regulatory requirements and develops action plans for improvement when required.
  • Developing and facilitating or oversees the development and facilitation of workshops, seminars and orientations as directed.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current profession and quality improvement trends through participation in relevant professional organizations and attendance at conferences.

To qualify, you must have :

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • A minimum of 4 year of pediatric nursing experience required
  • Boston Children's Hospital experience strongly preferred
  • CPHQ Certification (or similar) preferred
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week, 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday
