Job Description
Directs one or more major functional areas of a department, a department, or a business unit. Manages two or more professional and support staff including subordinate managers.
More discretion and greater financial authority than lower management levels. Directs the analysis, planning, implementation, and expenditures and budget tracking of major operational projects or initiatives.
Provides recommendations to the leaders throughout the organization. Leads in developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations.
Collaborates with department / business unit leadership to support the budget process and meeting key operational goals.
Collaborates with leaders to establish operating procedures, enhance clinical and non-clinical workflows, increase productivity, and improve overall quality outcomes and operational efficiencies within a variety of delivery settings.
Establishes department policies and procedures. This role will serve as the primary liaison for the department. Manages and influences relationships with senior management team, administrators, functional area managers and staff to achieve best in practice performance and business results.

Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry & / or Certifications)
A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Master’s or higher degree preferred. A minimum of nine years’ experience delivering and supporting clinical systems, which includes at least four years of leadership experience required.
Demonstrated experience implementing or upgrading an integrated electronic health record (EHR) in at least one health system is required.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; client relations and relationship building; fact finding; analytical; project management;
- presentation and communication (written / verbal) skills required. The following are preferred for this role : experience in a large hospital system, preferably an academic medical center;
direct Epic experience, including certification in an Epic clinical application preferred. Experience with integrated / interfaced devices, applications and workflows.
Direct experience with perioperative, procedural, and enterprise imaging workflows; Epic Optime, Epic Anesthesia, Epic Radiant, Epic Cupid, Sectra PACS, Hyland Acuo VNA / NilRead, sterile processing and supply management integrations, cardiology PACS / interfaced structured reporting, radiology workflows / integrations.
Experience with application architecture & infrastructure design / concepts pertaining to large-scale application deployment strategies.
Experience with budget management (capital, operating, project) and vendor relationship management. Prior experience with preceding workflows / technologies deployed via Epic Community Connect model is a plus.
