Security Solutions Analyst

This role is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Remote work structure is not offered at this time.

As a Security Solutions Analyst at Hungerford Technologies, you will be at the forefront of our mission to protect our clients and ourselves from cyber threats and to ensure our own processes are robustly & continually improving.

In this role, you will lead projects that implement, optimize, and manage a variety of cybersecurity solutions, contributing directly to the security and integrity of our operations and those of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment and management of diverse security solutions across customer environments, aligning with our mission to protect against external and internal cyber threats.
• Act as a technical expert on security product offerings, understanding and communicating their functionalities and integration capabilities effectively.
• Work closely with product management and development teams to refine our security services, ensuring they are proactive and responsive to current and potential threats.
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and reviews, both for clients and internally, to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities or oversights.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our security posture.
• Generate and present detailed reports and updates to stakeholders, demonstrating the effectiveness of security measures and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience / certifications will also be considered.
• 1+ year(s) of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity implementations, preferably within a managed services or consultancy environment.
• Broad knowledge of security tools and platforms, with practical experience in their deployment and management.
• Technical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity practices and project management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks.
• Effective communication skills, capable of discussing complex security issues in a clear and persuasive manner.
• A collaborative team player who values feedback and is committed to continuous learning and improvement.
• Leadership skills with the initiative to drive security projects and make impactful decisions.
