Salary : $90,000 - 115,000 / year
The Field Engineer / AV Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of commercial AV systems at client sites.
This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience with AV equipment, and excellent customer service skills.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to troubleshoot issues effectively, and passionate about delivering high-quality AV solutions.
Responsibilities
- Installation and Setup :
- Install and configure AV systems, including projectors, screens, audio systems, video conferencing equipment, and control systems.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to ensure installations meet specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance :
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV systems in a timely manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing AV equipment.
- Testing and Quality Assurance :
- Conduct thorough testing of systems post-installation to ensure functionality and performance.
- Provide clients with training on system operation and best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Provide feedback and insights to project managers on project progress and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is required.
- Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial AV systems.
- Strong understanding of audio, video, and control system technologies.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving AV-related issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
