ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology LLC is seeking a Community Planner to support our customer located at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) in Albuquerque, NM.
This position leads the construction, repair, and renovation project programming team under the KAFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract.
Job Summary :
- The Planner will support and assist in planning land use and development on Kirtland AFB to help ensure the mission success of the base.
- Responsible for all military construction planning requirements for the installation in accordance with Federal and Air Force guidelines with consideration for life cycle, mission change, catastrophic failures, activity management plan, and more.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinates with base management and advisory groups to plan long-range development and forecast requirements.
- Prepares and updates base development plan.
- Prepares studies that help analyze population growth and base needs.
- Coordinates on-site evaluations and create project proposals to assess and present information about development needs and land usage.
- Performs technical planning functions including research, review, analysis, presentation, and coordination of siting requests and track siting approvals.
- Develops and updates planning trackers, reports, and briefings.
- Prepares, participates in, and / or conducts briefings, meetings, conferences, design charrettes, etc. involving planning issues.
- Performs additional planning requirements as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in applied science (Architectural / Engineering Technology, Drafting, Planning or related degree); relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
Skill in communicating orally and in writing with clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness.
Be able to prepare a conduct briefings to customers including senior leadership.
Be willing and able to work with customers and coworkers in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Must be a US citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain / maintain a government-issued security clearance.
Be proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 software suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Community Planning.
- At least three years of experience at a US military installation, other government agency, or similar size and scope campus or set of facilities.
- Proficient in use of ESRI ArcGIS software.
