Leisure World of Maryland Corporation located in Silver Spring, Maryland is seeking a full-time Warehouse Coordinator to assist in the operations of the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES :
- Participate in daily warehouse operations and activities including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.
- Processes requisitions and requests to invoice for reimbursement of warehouse items; completes requisitions for needed materials to ensure adequate stock levels and c omplies with warehouse standards and procedures.
- Follows established health and safety regulations.
- Maintained a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.
- Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store, and deliver materials, supplies, or equipment.
- Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required : maintain inventory of items in the warehouse;
file records as required.
- Monitors automated warehousing system; operates a computer to enter data.
- Operates specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; ensures proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Requires ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.
CERTIFICATE / LICENSE
- Certificate in Warehouse Management-Preferred.
- Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
EDUCATION
Associates Degree (two-year college or technical school)-Required.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years of experience in warehouse operations.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Ability to use MS Office and database management software.
- Ability to deal with vendors, internal customers, and residents with tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Ability to participate in the operations and activities of the Warehouse.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to maintain inventory and utilize space effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Ability to lift, move, sort, and store objects.
- Ability to utilize automated warehouse inventory systems.
- Knowledge of warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of methods of receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials.
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, and supplies used in property management.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology, and inventory techniques.
- Knowledge of proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Knowledge of health / safety regulations.
- Knowledge of record-keeping techniques and inventory methods and practices.
- Knowledge of automated warehouse inventory systems.
