We are looking for a full-time CNC Mill Operator for our 2nd shift, Monday thru Thursday. As a Nelson Machine & Welding employee, you will be able to build upon your manufacturing experience and skill base.

A preferred candidate will possess well rounded machine shop experience, along with a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities :

• Multiple small-large mills available to fit skill set
• Perform parts inspections to verify conformance of machine parts to specifications
• Interpret part prints, work orders, and tooling parameters

Job Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED. A post high school degree in Machine Shop preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years CNC milling machine experience
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift
• Ability to read and interpret part prints
• Ability to understand repair work and machine from a sample part instead of a drawing
• Ability to use basic machinist tools, including dial calipers, inside and outside micrometers, dial bore gauges, and dial indicators
• Must possess an internal and external customer driven focus
• Must be willing to work some overtime
