General Laborer / Industrial Cleaner

This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment.

This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job responsibilities :

• Clean, including, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning, gathering and emptying trash bins in designated building areas following all health and safety regulations.
• Stock, organize, and maintain janitor supply rooms as needed.
• Inform management immediately of any potential safety risks or hazards and / or needed repair work.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours.
• Complete other duties and special trainings as assigned by the supervisor.
• Run a sweeper / scrubber to clean factory floors
• Safely operate a forklift
• Operate industrial powered vehicles (e.g., golf carts or Gators)
• Operate aerial lifts to perform tasks above safe reach of a ladder (e.g., scissor lift, articulating lift)
• Operate, pneumatic, battery powered and electric hand tools
• Assist in the performance of building / equipment maintenance duties (e.g., recycling, painting, filter changes, fabrication machinery support, and coolant services)
• Perform grounds maintenance services (e.g., landscaping and snow removal)
• Maintain a safe work environment following all required safety regulations and protocols
• Complete other duties as assigned

Job requirements :

• Skills and Abilities
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, either orally or in writing
• Must follow all health and safety requirements
• Good communication skills
• Customer-oriented and friendly
• Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Successfully pass training : Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Confined Spaces, Aerial Lifts, Forklift, Gator / Cart, Fall Protection, PPE, and Bloodborne Pathogens
• Physical Requirements
• Stand and walk for long periods of time; climb stairs
• Repeat the same movements
• Frequent bending and twisting
• Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs
• Work at heights to 40 feet
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
