Position : Payroll Specialist (certified)
Salary : 80k-90k
Key Responsibilities :
Payroll Processing :
- Process payroll for construction workers, including calculating wages, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure accurate and timely payments.
Certified Payroll Compliance :
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for government projects.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, like the Davis-Bacon Act.
Union Payroll Management :
- Manage payroll for union employees, including reporting union dues and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with union agreements.
Job Costing :
- Allocate labor costs to specific jobs or projects.
- Assist in preparing job cost reports.
Compliance :
- Stay updated on payroll laws, especially those related to construction.
- Prepare for payroll audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
Employee Support :
- Respond to payroll-related questions from employees.
- Resolve payroll issues or discrepancies.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience :
- 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in construction.
- MUST be familiar with certified payroll and union payroll
