- Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of events hosted by the Cardinals Activities Board (CAB) and select Setzer Student Center (SSC) events.
- Collaborate with the CAB Advisor and SSC professional staff to ensure smooth event planning, adherence to budgetary constraints, and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead and supervise a team, providing guidance, support, and coordination in their roles.
- Organize regular meetings with the team to discuss ongoing projects, delegate tasks, foster a collaborative environment, and assess progress.
- Coordinate Event Staff for events, ensure adequate staffing, effective task allocation, and oversee execution.
- Provide office support by answering phones, filing papers, running errands, and performing other clerical duties as assigned by SSC professional staff.
- Collaborate closely with the CAB Advisor and other stakeholders to develop innovative event ideas, assess feasibility, and promote alignment with organizational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by SSC professional staff, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving organizational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior experience in a leadership role, whether in student organizations, clubs, or other extracurricular activities.
- Experience in event planning or coordination, even if it is on a smaller scale.
- Strong time management skills this role will involve balancing various responsibilities, meetings, and event deadlines alongside your academic coursework.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including collaborating effectively with various teams, communicating with stakeholders, and resolving conflicts constructively.
- Innovative problem-solver and creative thinker.
- Must be flexible and adaptable this role may require adjustments to schedules, last-minute changes to event plans (such as for weather, etc.
and the ability to handle unexpected challenges with composure.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support event coverage.
- Must have a genuine passion for increasing campus involvement and enhancing the student experience at LU.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and good standing with the university.
Physical Requirements
- The position requires the ability to lift and move event materials / equipment.
- This position may require long hours spent standing during events. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, and perform job duties for extended periods.
