Subject to Grant Funding? : No Essential Job Functions : 1. Greets and advises members and guests about attire, golf clubs and supplies, etc.
to ensure understanding of rules and knowledge of products.
2. Answers the phone and takes tee times according to standards to ensure customer service and being prepared for upcoming golfers.
3. Arranges and displays golf shop merchandise according to standards to ensure golf shop to appeal to the shopper.
4. Records all sales transactions. Collects and records greens, cart, club and shoe rental fees. Issues receipts for greens, cart, club and shoe rental fees to ensure proper accounting procedures.
5. Assists in unpacking merchandise and preparing it for the shop according to standards to insure proper inventory levels.
6. Assists in special orders to ensure customer needs are met.
7. Closes point of sale at end of shift, in strict compliance with established closing procedures.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Marginal Job Functions : 1. Must have good telephone and customer service skills.
2. Must be able to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks.
3. Must be computer literate.
4. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop or bend for duration of an (8) hour shift.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities : Job Requirements : Required Certifications / Licensures : Required Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent Major (if required) : Required Experience : One (1) to two (2) years of experience in customer service.
Preferred Qualifications : Previous experience working in a golf shop. Is this a safety sensitive position? Yes Background Screening Required?
