Job Title : Machinist

Job Description

Working within the machine shop to fabricate various parts for pressure vessel manufacturing. Utilizing 2.5 axis drill to manufacture parts.

Utilizing manual mills and lathes to manufacture parts. Operating the vertical turning lathe.

Hard Skills

• Manual and CNC machining using mills, lathes, and a 2.5 axis drill
• Blueprint reading
• Checking tolerances utilizing calipers and micrometers

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Work Environment

This is a metal fabrication environment but climate controlled in the machine shop. Will work 50 hours per week. Peak season to ramp up is in July and December.

During these times, employees will work 50 hours per week. Must be open to working on Saturdays from time to time. The company wants to make sure that employees have some flexibility for their family schedules.
