Location : Remote with Meeting attendance in Derwent Bank

Contract : 12 Months Fixed Term Contract Part Time 22.5 Hours Per Week

Salary : £24,150 - £27,300 Pro Rata

Reporting to : Product Operations Manager

Overview :

This is an exciting opportunity for a new Product Operations Executive to join our successful team. You will provide administrative and operational support for our Walking and Special Interest holiday products in the UK and abroad.

The role will include product development of existing holidays and working with Product Managers and in-house walking advisors to agree content.

About the role :

In the role of Product Operations Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient administration of our holidays, ensuring seamless coordination with holiday leaders, and addressing their enquiries.

Your focus will be on providing technical support, ensuring equipment and resources are in place. Generating on-brand materials, such as maps and route directions sourced from partner information, and delivering accurate and current dispatch documents and resources for leaders and tour managers are integral aspects of your responsibilities.

Additionally, you will engage with ground agents and leaders to gather updated information, uphold holiday programs, and manage transport requirements.

The maintenance of records on operating costs to ensure holiday operations stay within budget is a crucial part of your role.

Establishing strong working relationships with both internal and external partners will be essential.

Handling ticket and admission bookings, as well as addressing guest queries, will form part of your day-to-day tasks. Your involvement in the creation, updating, and proofing of marketing materials, including the website, guest trip notes, brochures, and intranet, will contribute to the overall success of our operations.

You may also be involved in on-site visits to new and existing holiday destinations as necessary, collaborating with the Product Creation Team and Field Advisors to coordinate innovative holiday ideas.

Essential skills :

  • We are looking for someone who has a passion for walking and leisure holidays, coupled with knowledge of prime walking areas and proficiency in map reading and navigation.
  • Commercial awareness along with strong written and verbal communication skills and strong IT Skills such as Microsoft Office are necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially in dealings with external suppliers and volunteer walk leaders, are vital.
  • A self-motivated and diligent individual who pays attention to detail, has effective time management skills, respond promptly to issues and can manage projects to meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills :

  • Think creatively and strategically and apply research findings within their role when required.
  • Able to demonstrate a compelling communication style to convey enthusiasm for our holidays, both internally and externally
  • A genuine passion and enthusiasm for travel with a 'can do' attitude within a team environment
  • Able to establish strong and trustworthy relationships with suppliers and volunteer leaders
  • While the role is primarily home-based, occasional travel to our holiday destinations, as well as conferences and training events, may be required.
  • Previous experience in the travel or activity industry is desirable.
