Professional Staff Nurse- Cardiovascular Operating Room

UPMC Hamot's Cardiovascular Operating Room is searching for a Registered Nurse to add to their team! The CVOR Team covers Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular cases in the Operating Room and also works collaboratively with the main OR Team to maintain staffing levels.

OR experience required.This position will work Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 : 30 p.m. with shared call hours during off shifts and weekends.

Role Overview : The Professional Staff Nurse OR is a Registered Nurse responsible for setting care standards and providing nursing care.

This role involves leadership, collaboration, and supervision to achieve desired patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities : Patient Care : Manage and provide care for patients and their families, using independent judgment and collaboration.

Experience : OR experience required.Relationships : Build positive, caring relationships with all healthcare team members and patients / families.

Physical Requirements : Mobility, manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances : Certification : UPMC-approved national certification preferred.Licensure : Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) in the relevant state.

CPR : Required within 30 days of hire (AHA standards).Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPRClearances : Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal).
