Job Summary :

The CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a dynamic and creative Content Creator to join our marketing team.

This position is pivotal in driving our mission to attract, engage, and inspire prospective students to enroll in our esteemed pharmacy programs.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality multimedia content, including videos, photography, graphic design, and copywriting, that resonates with our social media audience and beyond.

As a Content Creator, you will play a key role in shaping the school's digital presence, experimenting with new content formats, and exploring emerging platforms such as podcasts, vlogs, and more.

Your work will directly influence the perception of our programs and help cultivate a community of future pharmacists passionate about making a difference in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Content Production : Develop, shoot, and edit compelling video content that showcases student life, faculty expertise, and the innovative programs at CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy.
  • Photography : Capture high-quality images for use across social media, websites, and print materials, highlighting campus events, student activities, and key milestones.
  • Graphic Design : Create visually engaging graphics, infographics, and promotional materials that align with the school's brand and resonate with our target audience.
  • Copywriting : Write clear, persuasive, and compelling copy for various platforms, including social media posts, website content, email campaigns, and brochures.
  • Social Media Management : Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute a content calendar that aligns with our strategic goals, posting content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and YouTube.
  • Platform Exploration : Stay ahead of digital trends by exploring and implementing new content formats and platforms, such as podcasts, vlogs, and interactive media, to broaden our reach and engage with a wider audience.
  • Analytics & Reporting : Monitor and analyze content performance, using insights to optimize future campaigns and ensure that our content strategy is effective in driving engagement and enrollment.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with faculty, students, and alumni to generate authentic and relatable content that tells the story of CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy.

Work Location :

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of # days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in content creation, including videography, photography, graphic design, and copywriting.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar design and video editing software.
  • A combination of education and related technical / paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in higher education marketing.
  • Experience with or knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, social media insights, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Experience with new media formats and platforms, such as podcasts and vlogs, is highly desirable.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to produce engaging content that inspires action.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for education and a genuine interest in promoting pharmacy as a career path.

Anticipated Pay Range :

The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $50,185 - $63,835 .

The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
