Assists dealer body and field staff in resolution of warranty related claim issues. Operates within the Warranty Review Center in support of dealers.
Reports on warranty activity and recommends table updates. Delivers warranty training to Isuzu dealers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Audits and analyzes warranty claim data to ensure Radio Exchange, NPN, Chemicals, Campaigns, and Warranty claims adhere to service policies and procedures requirements.
Issues inquiries for claims that do not meet Isuzu standards. Assembles and distributes warranty reports for Isuzu management related to claim processing.
- Plans, develops, and implements Dealership Warranty Administrator Training programs via the Isuzu COE training system for dealers, and / or employees, and field support teams.
- Processes dealer inquiries received through the Isuzu Communication System (ICS). Verifies Labor Time Manual to warranty tables.
Updates warranty tables as required.
- Verifies Warranty System Correction Requests received from dealer body and DSPMs.
- With direction from the Manager, Warranty Review, acts as liaison for all warranty department functions with respect to warranty claim authorization and payment functions.
Provides national and DSPM authorization and guidance as required.
- Reviews and suggests revisions to the service policies and procedures and warranty claim review policies and procedures.
- Assists in review of warranty publications and training materials.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to : Manager, Warranty Review
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent directly related experience with emphasis in automotive warranty
- Minimum 6 years experience in the vehicle warranty field with some training experience
- Completion of courses in Technician training
KNOWLEDGE
- Working knowledge of warranty claim submission procedures
- Good understanding of Dealership business practices and vehicle operations
- Familiarity with Parts catalogs and other service publications
- Thorough knowledge of automotive theory and operations
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficient PC skills in MS Office applications
- Ability to develop database systems and spreadsheets using Access for reporting / tracking
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to understand and apply service policy and procedures
- Ability to understand and apply dealer systems (ICS) including claims processing
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less.
Occasional travel required including possible overnight stays.
Pay scale for this position is between $66,542 to $83,178. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
