  • Prepares proposals and establish project financial budgets
  • Performs project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.)
  • Attends pre-construction meetings and document discussions
  • Reviews and reports on project mock-ups
  • Performs periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items
  • Witnesses field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.)
  • Manages and coordinates small and large projects
  • Conducts business development to secure revenue-generating projects
  • Client management
  • Mentors junior staff
  • Participates in continuing education
  • Performs various office related tasks

Qualifications :

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in building science consultation or equivalent knowledge of building envelope systems
  • Organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks on multiple projects
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong customer service commitment
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Either a signing professional or pursuing registration either as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect

Morrison Hershfield considers various elements when determining a candidate’s compensation offer. Each offer will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, future potential, education, skills, and internal equity.
