Title : Principal Equipment Technician This position is based in our Campbell, California offices. This position is on-site, full-time.

What You’ll Do in this role as a Principal Equipment Technician, you will be assigned to oversee the installation, qualification, calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, tools and systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation of equipment used to support the development and manufacturing operations business needs developing products for neuro-interventional medical devices.

You will establish, conduct and oversee equipment calibration, maintenance procedures and support periodic maintenance process QA / QC audits.

You are a strong problem solver and trouble shooter with a diverse and in-depth working understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, facilities and heating systems and able to work under pressure situations.

Optimize and oversee calibration and maintenance methods and strategies to maintain the safe and reliable operation and uptime of equipment Troubleshoot problems and assess whether equipment & / or parts can be repaired or need to be replaced.

Order and install replacement equipment & / or parts. Collaborate with production equipment and process owners to define and document equipment IQ, equipment OQ, calibration and preventative maintenance tasks and schedules.

Remove and deinstall end-of-life equipment. Define and develop system to organize equipment spares and oversee stocking of spares collaborating with purchasing and manufacturing support team members.

Monitor maintenance costs Proactively address problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniques. And carefully document all repairs and appropriate adjustments made What You’ll Bring minimum requirements for this role : HS diploma and a minimum of 8 years related experience;

AA degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to read and interpret manuals, assembly drawings, facilities blueprints, electrical and system schematics.

Must have a strong working knowledge in mechanical alignment and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems, pneumatic systems, electrical / electronic components, optics, automation, robotics, sensors, optics, motors, and PLCs.

Experience with CMMS, CAD and analytical and statistical skills (SPC) using Excel, Minitab & / or JMP. Experience working under quality systems designed to meet governmental regulations such as FDA QSR, ISO 13485, the MDD, and knowledge of relevant standards.
