About the team
The Global Commerce Product Team shapes the future of the TikTok commerce platform. We aim to become an all-in-one platform, for businesses, creators and users to trust each other, to create value for each other, to inspire creativity and bring joy to each other.
Our long-term goal is to help businesses grow on our platform by enhancing our platform capability, nurturing best-in-class commercial content.
We are searching for a Product Strategy Leader who will help shape the short and long-term vision of our product roadmap alongside our Global Head of Product.
In this role, you'll work hand-in-hand with our product and engineering teams to create brand new online shopping experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop comprehensive e-commerce product strategies that are aligned with core business objectives.
- Create and maintain product roadmaps, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market trends and customer needs.
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of customer and seller engagement as well as revenue streams.
- Participate in annual and quarterly strategic business reviews, prepare planning documents, and complete reviews and summary documents.
Market Analysis and Research
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
- Utilize data analytics to study traffic patterns, customer behavior, and industry trends.
- Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the e-commerce ecosystem.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor seller and user performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance their success and engagement.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce product management or strategy roles.
- Proven track record of developing successful e-commerce products and strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or Masters degere in related field preferred.
- Previous experience with an MBB consulting firm or similar (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, etc.).
- Previous experience working at a startup.
