Provide a safe environment to foster student learning and development. Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in safety or security.
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service
- Excellent Report writing skills
- Technology background
- Ability to problem solve
- Current First Aid, CPR, & AED Cards
- BSIS Guard Card
- CA Driver’s License
- This position requires obtaining and reviewing motor vehicle records (MVRs) prior to or during consideration of application as well as ongoing review through California’s Electronic Pull Notice (EPN) Program.
This position is contingent upon meeting and maintaining acceptable and satisfactory driver’s driving records.
Campus Safety Officers are subject to continuous screening / periodic background checks as a condition of employment and / or continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- PC 832 Powers of Arrest Course
- Experience in a college / university setting.
- Familiar with security and fire alarms, two-way radios, computers, tablets, and smartphone devices.
