WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Research, evaluate and document technical accounting implications of certain complex or non-standard transactions
- Document, implement, and maintain global accounting policies, processes and procedures
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support general accounting functions, including preparation and / or review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and related disclosures for external reporting
- Lead / participate in special projects and initiatives and support with any ad-hoc requests from cross-functional teams
- Support financial statement audits, tax audits, and other audits as necessary
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned
Additional Required Skills
- BS or BA in Accounting
- At least 7+ years with a blend of "Big Four" public accounting and industry experience preferred
- Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with multi-national corporations, foreign currency, M&A, and consolidation
- Ability to work under pressure and perform / prioritize several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment
- Working knowledge of Excel and financial accounting systems - NetSuite is preferred
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and positive attitude; seasonal overtime to be expected (quarter-end / year-end / special projects timing)
- Proven ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
