About the Team & Role :

At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more.

As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time.

The Data Solutions team accelerates the growth of TikTok's GBS North America organization through precise data, prescriptive analytics, and predictive insights that both raise the top line and lower the bottom line.

The Data Solutions team aims to shape the future of GBS-NA measurement at TikTok. You will drive consistency and ensure that the GBS-NA as a whole is appropriately benchmarking our activities holistically across different products, commercials, and programs.

Furthermore, you will work cross-functionally with Strategy, Programs, Commercials, Analytics, Data Science, and Sales Operations.

This role requires leveraging modern measurement techniques to institute scalable and comprehensive measurement playbooks that solve and improve the business problems of the GBS-NA organization.

TikTok currently observes a hybrid working policy of 3 days in the office each week and 2 days working remotely. This position is full-time and based out of our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities :

  • Form strong relationships with internal teams, including Data Engineering, Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Commercial stakeholders to support the build, adoption, and impact of the Measurement Playbook
  • Develop and socialize the Measurement vision, roadmap, and enablement / knowledge base to stakeholders
  • Work closely with the data engineering and product teams to strategize and execute the development of data products
  • Execute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across multiple domains and industries
  • Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables
  • Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed to operational systems
  • Understand customer needs to develop a backlog and ensure measurement completeness
  • Meet business goals by developing value and creating feasible and sustainable products and solutions

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience in data science, algorithmic engineering, and / or machine learning
  • 2 years of working knowledge and / or advanced knowledge of SQL

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Working knowledge or advanced experience with versioning software such as Git
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or Domo that help to visually encode data
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental statistics with hands-on experience in A / B testing, regression analysis, and anova testing
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests from different business teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, strong curiosity, and a passion to understand and navigate the nature of different business models
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical analysis to a broad variety of audiences, including business executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
